Honouring Bronwen: A Mental Health Charity Dedicated to Creating Safe Spaces for Children
Bronwen’s Wish is a mental health charity established in memory of Bronwen Grace Morgan, who tragically passed away by suicide in August 2020. Bronwen was a 26-year-old Mental Health Nursing student in her second year of study, and she also held a first-class honours degree in Primary Education. Bright and beautiful, with the kindest and most caring soul, Bronwen’s loss has left a profound void in many people's lives.
Bronwen’s Wish is dedicated to creating a lasting legacy for Bronwen Grace Morgan by fostering emotional well-being in children and young people. Our primary initiative involves developing and implementing "pods" within school settings. These specially designed spaces provide a safe, calm, and supportive environment where students can address their mental health needs. Inspired by Bronwen’s courage, acceptance, and hope, we strive to positively impact the mental health system. Our efforts aim to ensure that every child feels accepted, supported, and valued, continuing Bronwen’s passion for helping others and creating meaningful change.
Our Values
Our charity values—courage, acceptance, and hope—are the foundation of Bronwen’s Wish. They guide us in creating safe spaces for children, honouring Bronwen’s legacy, and fostering positive change in the mental health system. These values inspire and motivate us to support every child’s emotional well-being with compassion and dedication.
Courage
The courage to step up in the darkness of grief, to take action and create a positive legacy in Bronwen's honor. We aim to demonstrate to those who benefit from our Pods that true courage lies in taking time to breathe and openly discuss their emotions.
Acceptance
To ensure every individual feels accepted for who they are and what they need. The Pods will offer a space where they can experience genuine acceptance, support, and care.
Hope
To remind everyone that, despite the darkness, there is always hope. We strive for a brighter future for the younger generation and seek to transform the mental health system to provide services that truly meet the needs of those who require them.
